Easter Monday SHOWCASE

Still more fab Zettie ATC's they are never ending... lol....and still more to come.

Thank you to everyone who took part.

Why do they put pictures of criminals up in the Post Office?
What are we supposed to do, write to them?
Why don't they just put their pictures on the postage stamps so the postmen can look for them while they deliver the mail ?

Hope that you have all had a lovely Easter break and lots of chocolate.
If anyone is still wandering who won my OWOH please see post below.
If you are looking for this months Vintage ATC challenge check out 2 posts below some of you have been so quick to get yours finished leaving a link ...please go check them out.
Nearly forgot,
Sadly we had 2 sets of Zetti ATC's go astray in the post one from Canada and the other from just 30 mins by car from where I live...possibly someone decided they would start collecting ATC's but didn't put in any swaps for them.
I do not know if it helps but could you please write these big in ya face words on ya envie... 'NO VALUE'
Some of our girls helped me to replace Jaqi's set THANK YOU and I am now writing to some of you to help with Stacy's.... I have just heard she never got her swaps and that was because sadly I didn't receive hers.
bye for now.

Wk 4 SCD GD PLUS ZETTIOLOGY SHOWCASE AND A THANK YOU.

Sadly my last Friday as GD over at 'Something Completely Different' their theme for this week being 'TIME'

So much can be covered with this challenge I chose 'bath time' using some fab stamps from 'Paper Forest Designs' based in Australia why not pop over they have a great SALE on at the moment.
The letters making up the words 'Bath Time' I borrowed from my crafty pal Chris' one of Artistic Stampers alphabet set.
I included Rangers Glossy Accents as water splashes and on the letters too.

Why not pop over and join in the challenge by clicking on the highlighted link above... Big thank you to SCD Team for inviting me to play along. xxx

These 4 fabtastic Zettie ATC's are those of Carol one of the SCD design team Carol joins us on this ATC challenge blog each month... January's challenge being Zettiology here is her take on the theme.

Zettiology always reminds me of the BT Advert from the '80 with Maureen Lipman a brilliant actress.

See the post below for the start of our show case with the Zettiology ATC's.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the lovely
E-mails sent and kind comments left on the post below re the letter I received in the post, your support and feed back has been amazing.
T H A N K Y O U.
I WILL CONTINUE TO RUN THIS BLOG AS IT HAS BEEN FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. :)
Have a wonderful weekend and I hope that you find time to craft.
Take Care

3rd week GD at Something Completely Different

It's Friday and my 3rd week as GD over at Something Completely Different the theme for your ATC challenge is 'KEYS' set by the SCD design team.

Their examples of the challenge are on the SCD blog... follow the link high lighted above.
My KEY is one of CI's stamps I have used it for my 'strange' guys arms, and this fab, fun stamp is from 'Its a mans world' sheet designed by Joyce Howton over at Paper Forest Designs, the word 'strange' is from a Paperartsy plate.. the brick of a mobile...lol...sorry cannot remember ..lol... my mobile looks just like that, I have had it 6 yrs and '
it's only my second mobile in 11 years....lol... takes me that long to work out how to use them...the background is from a postcard which is dear to my heart.
If you would like to join in with these weeks challenge then create your keys ATC pop it on your blog leave a note in the comments over at SCD and we will come visit you.
There is a swap at the end of the 4 wk ATC slot which Carol is running, send in 1 or all 4 of the themed ATC's to be swapped... next week being the last ATC challenge on SCD. (NOT THE LAST SWAP IN OUR ATC CLUB...DONT GET MIXED UP, LOL.)
Have fun and a great weekend.

Sues Bio

I am a self taught mixed media/altered art/rubber stamping papercrafter!
I started out as an embroiderer taking a City & Guilds qualification but discovered working with paper and soon moved over!
I like to mix and match media in my work so you will still see the fabric/haberdashery influences in some of what I do.

I have been fortunate enough to have my work published over the years in several UK mags particularly Craft Stamper; Somerset Studio and other Stampington publications in the States and in Art Specially mag in Holland and I have recently had my first book published.....
Decorative Handmade Books......by Search Press.

I have Sue's book on my Christmas list.... hope that Santa is reading this...lol.... or my Kids...lol.
Please DO pay Sue a visit you can check out her creative blog over HERE
Now I would recommend that you get yourself a cupa and a packet of chocolate biscuits 'cos you could be there sometime.
Sues Blog title is from the famous Lewis Caroll

JABBERWOCKY
Lewis Carroll(from Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, 1872)
`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --So rested he by the Tumtum tree, And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood, And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock? Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!' He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
Thank you sooooo very much Sue for sharing your time and wonderful talent with us.

A thought for the weekend....

Friendship among Women:

A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house.

The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Friendship among Men:

A man didn't come home one night. The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's house.

The woman called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there.
LOL
Do remember to call back on Monday and meet our December Artist Trading Card Designer, this month from the UK.
Have a great weekend
love Chriss xxx
