MAN TO MAN ARTIST TRADING CARD CHALLENGE

Thank you for all of your good wishes that came my way during a bad time but I am back and back to deliver, I have missed this blog and all it's wonderful followers the lovely people I consider to be my blogland friends.

It will take some catching up but I will get back on track.

And so to start us off we have a fab challenge from a lovely friend and well known mixed media artist in both blogland and the craft world.... The lovely Heather and if you don't already know her you do not know what you are missing....go visit her gawjuss blog you will be glad that you did.

This is what Heather had to say about herself
Who knew that a rubber stamp of a Scottie dog would lead to a passion for mixed media art?
I'm Heather Robinson and I am a self-taught mixed media/altered art/collage artist with roots in rubber stamping.
Up until about 5 years ago, I was a stamping whirlwind making greeting cards by the hundreds.
A good friend convinced me (reluctantly at first) to try making artist trading cards and my world opened up from there.
I began dabbling in collage and it felt to me like “coming home”. I had always had an interest in altering books, likely spurred on by the fact that I’m a librarian and spend my days surrounded by books, but I had never really devoted much time to it.
That changed when I was invited to participate in a number of round robin journal projects.
Recent passions include beeswax collage, encaustic art and art journaling.

I have been published in “Rubber Stamper”, “Stampers' Sampler”, “Take Ten” and “Artful Blogging” magazines.

A big thank you to Linda who set our brilliant Tryptich challenge my word her Artist Trading Cards which she created were amazing.
Our MAN TO MAN challenge will run until the end of November...I know it's not long but I wish to catch up for Decembers challenge.
Our lovely guests ATC designers LYN, CHRIS AND KIMMIE will be with us in the new year... more incredible designs and challenges to look forward to.
For all those who asked of Marley and Mimi they are doing well thank you pics to be posted soon of them both.
I have to make a trip to the post office in the morning with all the back log of Artist Trading Cards...thank you for being so understanding. xxx
For new peeps out there who wish to join in please complete 5 Artist Trading Cards on the theme ....keeping one for yourself and sending 4 into be swapped.

Happy Sunday...Heather has been away from her blog for a little while however she will be blogging for us today Canada time x

Mona is one of my fave stamps and use her allot.... time for a coffee break right now as you scroll down and check MONA out... enjoy.

Artist assistants stand next to 3,604 cups of coffee which have been made into a giant Mona Lisa in Sydney, Australia. The 3,604 cups of coffee were each filled with different amounts of milk to create the different shades!!
Fantastic wouldn't you agree x

The next 2 are a definite size zero...lol The web stamp I purchased from Tanda and it was cheap as chips..could just eat some chips now.

The other Stamps purchased from Karen at Scrapz.
The 2 images below were from LAA... I coloured them in black to make them look like witches in training and made them a hat... think it worked.

A thought for the weekend....

Friendship among Women:

A woman didn't come home one night. The next morning she told her husband that she had slept over at a friend's house.

The man called his wife's 10 best friends. None of them knew anything about it.

Friendship among Men:

A man didn't come home one night. The next morning he told his wife that he had slept over at a friend's house.

The woman called her husband's 10 best friends. Eight confirmed that he had slept over, and two said he was still there.
LOL
Do remember to call back on Monday and meet our December Artist Trading Card Designer, this month from the UK.
Have a great weekend
love Chriss xxx
