Gingham ATC and update on Dottie

Todays Gingham ATC is from our member Linda, I so love the use of her Angelina Fibres.....the ATC is stunning but the scanner doesn't do it justice ...sorry Linda... possibly if you click on and enlarge it, you will capture it gorgessness. The words 'I told them I don't do gingham' have been beautifully hand written in a white gel pen. Check out Linda's blog HERE see some of the amazing crafting she has bloggged since setting up her blog.

This picture below gives another insight into the holiday that Dottie is having at the moment.
Check out what the girls have been up to since her arrival ... by clicking on HERE

OH, and am I a Happy Bunny today 'cos I just found out I was one of the 10 Lucky winner's to be receiving £50 worth of Fiskars crafting tools. :))) on HERE

My challenge to myself, completed

On Saturday evening Chris came out to play, we crafted at mine until 3am Sunday morning.. easy done when you get engrossed in LO's and altering 'STUFF'.. Chris' LO's are gorgeous you will get to see them on her blog soon.
Earlier that day Chris made me 2 ATC's which I have fallen love with.. big thank you Chris... x... here they are. Chris' take on paper Babushka dolls
Are they gorgeous or are they gorgeous??. Chris showed us on Fiskarettes (link on the right) last week how to make them as stand up dolls but then went that one step further knowing I loved the 2 dolls she had made and my love of ATC's.

On Sundays post I set myself a challenge (Mad Woman) to make ATC's out of some card I nearly put in the bin (please see Sunday's Post) here they are.I will say it wasn't easy to work with such a busy background but I was pleased with the first 2 eventually, they sought of grew on me.These next 2 are 'my take' on 'Chris' take' IYKWIM...LOL and I am thrilled with them even if I say so myself.... mine look more like grown up weebles...how many of you remember them?

I made myself a template for the Dolls and well the rest is history.
On the doll ATC's I used 2 of the backgrounds ATC's on each ATC...LOL did you get that.
If you want to take on the challenge of creating your own paper Babushka doll ATC I will email you my template... this offer will be open until WEDNESDAY ...all you have to do is use the smallest doll... there are 4 sizes on the template... make up an ATC and send me it in an email and they will shown here on Friday.

Hope you all had a good weekend. Welcome home Linda I will answer your email asap. :)) And welcome home Dottie.

Luv Chriss x

Crafty Individuals and blog candy #4 winner

Don't you just love this stamp I ordered from Crafty Individuals at ''DAFT O'CLOCK'' this morning ( dottie was fast asleep) I couldn't sleep and so ended up down stairs again, window shopping on line...hands up how many of you do that..yes I know..often we dont buy anything but it makes us feel good.

How do I have it in my crafty inky hands already you ask...well Jean and Malcom who have Crafty Individuals live a short walk from me...and Malcom dropped my order off at lunch time today...Thanx J n M :)) Hows that for service.

I was cleaning and clearing my mess up from a week of crafting when they arrived but what do you think happened next... no prizes for guessing.

As the theme for this months ATC swap challenge is 'Fairy Tales' I just had to have a play (by the way Dottie was so wrapped up in herself painting her toe nails etc for her holidays tomorrow) I got out the bleach ..yes again Sunday is Bleach day for me it was last Sunday too.( scroll down and see another of C I stamps I used using bleach. (Bleach does not go onto the stamp it is safe I promise you)

This 1st bleach ATC was created once again using 1 stamp, one white ATC, 1 ink pad, a small amount of bleach and water and some bubble wrap.

I just LOVE it.

What happened next.. I go to my blank ATC stash and there are NO slight sheen ATC's left...I find they are better for achieving this bleach look...what am I going to do as 1 ATC is not enough for any girl when she has a new stamp ..dont you all agree... at that I remember to change the calendar as its the 1st of June and I get soo excited as the callendar is made of sheen cardstck... Big smile ...will it work... ?????? Thanx Jackie and Leigh ..they bought it for me.

So for those of you who know how I love to recycle 'stuff' on my ATC's I cut out an ATC from the front page which had some beautiful Lillies on it.. Below is an ATC I have cut out to give you an idea of what it looked like before I used the same method as above.

This is the finished ATC using part of a recycled calendar page, the same stamp, 1 ink pad, bleach 'n' water mixture and bubble wrap...I am thrilled with it and hope you like it too.

Unlike last week I just cannot part with either of them...but look out in this months ATC challenge I may well use this stamp for our monthly theme.Mind you I did purchase a few more and 1 is most deffinately suitable for the Fairy tale ATC's. The other is for a fathers day challenge over on the Fiskarettes blog.. see the link on the right. I was also delighted with some fabulous freebie stamps and papers I received from CI ...Thank you J n M :)) I will show at a later date what I make with them.

WE have a new blogger in the club ...Hi Denise in S Africa, big wave..:)).Denise has also become hooked on Bleaching ATC's please pop over and make her welcome and see some of her great atc's she has made using bleach http://denise-blessthismess.blogspot.com/

Tranquility 'ATC Club' challenge #8

Morning all,

We hope that everyone is enjoying the good weather :)) a little bit of sunshine is a brilliant feel good factor.
Our 2 ATC's we are showing today are from Chris at http://craftsbychrissy.blogspot.com
she is also our Uk Ambassador for www.Fiskarettes.co.uk

I must apologise once again this month for the poor quality of the pictures... the ATC's do not like to be scanned.
Their true colours really are gorgeous, sorry Chris x
love the Faux stitching and Dottie just loves her glitter wings and pretty dress and what girl wouldnt..

Dottie and I are both wondering just what is being said between her and the bird...
no prizes and just for fun ''please tell us in no more than 20 words what you think is being said''.
Dottie thinks that the beautiful fairy is giving her feathered friend a shopping list for chocolate.
What do you think?

sorry we have not had time to talk through our thoughts on who we are passing the 'YOU MAKE MY DAY' award onto.

Luv Chriss x & Dottie x

P.S. Remember to scroll down the posts for both our Dottie & Elizabeth challenges. x
We have been on our travels and have seen some of the lovely gifts made for Elizabeth on your blogs.. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH X
